Cynthia L. Bryant

Cynthia L. Bryant is a dedicated public servant with extensive experience in investigations, government oversight, and mental health counseling. Throughout her career, she has worked to promote accountability, integrity, and ethical decision-making through objective fact-finding and the fair assessment of complex matters. Her investigative experience has strengthened her ability to analyze information, assess credibility, exercise sound judgment, and make impartial, evidence-based decisions.

In addition to her public service career, Cynthia is a mental health therapist and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Her counseling experience has further strengthened her skills in communication, active listening, conflict resolution, and understanding human behavior. This combination of investigative and clinical experience provides her with a unique perspective when evaluating complex circumstances while remaining mindful of fairness, dignity, and respect.

Cynthia is committed to serving the people of Illinois with professionalism, integrity, transparency, and sound judgment. She believes effective public service requires accountability, impartiality, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous learning. She is honored to serve on the Illinois State Police Merit Board and to contribute her diverse professional experience in support of the Board's mission.
